The Christmas Countdown Has Begun: Time to Make Your Home Feel Festive

It's happening.

The evenings are getting darker, the temperatures are dropping and we're starting to hear the first Christmas songs of the season.

The Christmas countdown has officially begun.

And while we're still enjoying everything autumn has to offer, we can't help getting a little excited about the most magical time of the year.

From decorating the Christmas tree to choosing festive fragrances and finding thoughtful gifts for the people we love, there's so much to look forward to.

At Pott, Christmas is one of our favourite times of year, and we're sharing a few simple ways to make the countdown feel extra special.

Start with Your Christmas Home Fragrance

Before the decorations go up or the presents are wrapped, one of the easiest ways to bring a little Christmas magic into your home is through fragrance.

There's something about certain scents that instantly makes us think of the festive season.

Fresh pine, sweet orange, cinnamon and warming spices all bring back memories of Christmases past.

This year, our three bestselling Christmas candle scents are back.

Fir: The Scent of a Christmas Tree

If you love the smell of a real Christmas tree, our Fir candle is the perfect choice.

Crisp pine and aromatic eucalyptus are grounded by warm sandalwood, creating a clean, fresh home fragrance that captures the magic of Christmas from the very first light.

It's a beautiful scent for decorating the tree, wrapping presents or simply making your living room feel festive.

Noël: Christmas in a Candle

For those who love traditional festive fragrances, there's Noël.

Sweet orange is blended with cinnamon and clove to create a beautifully balanced fragrance that's both bright and spicy.

Think mulled wine, Christmas baking and cosy evenings spent with friends and family.

Starlight: The Magic of a Winter Night

If you prefer something fresh and elegant, choose Starlight.

Sparkling bergamot, lemon and mandarin are layered with a gentle hint of cinnamon, creating a bright fragrance inspired by frosty air and the quiet magic of Christmas night.

It's a lovely choice for someone who enjoys a lighter festive home fragrance.

Make Decorating the Christmas Tree a Ritual

Decorating the tree is one of those Christmas traditions we look forward to every year.

Whether you're someone who puts the decorations up in November or waits until December, it's a lovely opportunity to slow down and enjoy the moment.

Put on your favourite Christmas playlist, make something warming to drink and take your time decorating.

We love lighting a Fir candle while putting up the tree, filling the room with that unmistakable fresh pine fragrance.

It's a simple way to make the occasion feel even more special.

Start Your Christmas Shopping Early

There's something lovely about finding the perfect gift for someone you love.

But Christmas shopping can quickly become stressful when everything is left until the last minute.

Starting early gives you more time to choose thoughtful presents rather than rushing to find something in December.

For someone who loves candles, interiors or handmade pottery, a Pott Starter Pack makes a beautiful Christmas gift.

Each Starter Pack includes a handmade ceramic Pott, a candle refill and a matching MatchPott.

It's a lovely way to introduce someone to refillable candles, giving them a present they can continue enjoying throughout the year.

For someone who already owns a Pott, a selection of candle refills makes an equally thoughtful gift.

Plan a Festive Evening with Friends

Christmas is all about spending time with the people we love.

And you don't need to wait until Christmas Day to start celebrating.

Invite a few friends over for dinner, plan a festive film night or host an evening of mulled wine and Christmas treats.

Keep things simple with cosy lighting, comforting food and a beautiful festive fragrance.

Noël is one of our favourite scents for entertaining, with its warm blend of orange, cinnamon and clove.

It's the perfect finishing touch to a cosy Christmas gathering.
